I am publishing this post while sitting in the airport waiting for my flight. I go from Edmonton to Vancouver and then direct to Singapore. Looking forward to going home.

Over the last six months, I have been in Alberta, Canada, in a city in the greater Edmonton area called Leduc. It has been fun helping my daughter with her two children -- a four year old and a new baby. She is now four months old. Canada encourages mothers to take care of their new babies with one year of paid maternity leave. Most mothers take this opportunity.

The last six months, I have been totally in grandma mode. My daughter, who has surpassed me in her knitting abilities, pushed me to join her in the mystery knit along, #doyouyoke2, by @zaneteknits. (see picture) This is a two-colour sweater. Most of my sweaters in the past have been lace or cables. This is the first time I attempted colour-work. Certainly, worth the effort.

During my time in Leduc, I've only managed to do a small amount of work for my regular client @theharryknit, and I'm eagerly anticipating getting back to actively tech editing.

I will accept new tech editing work from 5 May. Please contact me.
